With Valentines day just around the corner I thought I'd give
us some ideas for our MEN!
We got married in the Timpanogos Temple in March 2006. Shay grew up in Utah and I grew up in Montana. We love being with eachother, but still enjoy our "alone time". Someday we will have children and then our lives will be alot more interesting!

Sparks are flying.
Hey everyone, my friend introduced me to this new website, http://www.sparkpeople.com/ . It's a community similar to MySpace but it is for healthier eating and exercise habits. It's cool, you make your own page with pictures, goals, friends, comments, emails... and you enter a profile about yourself (ie; weight, height, goal weight if you have one...) and it helps you form a meal plan (you can choose the foods you eat) for the week in your caloric range and an exercise program for you. You can print off your grocery list, your meal plans... Pretty much, it's awesome. Go to it and check it out! Keep in mind, you DO NOT have to want to lose weight to join this free website, you can just want to be healthier. If you do join, look for me on it, my screen name is iloveblankies. LOVE YA!

Edward and Bella
Here is a photo shopped (I'm assuming) picture of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart as Edward and Bella. I think it looks pretty good, HOT even... thoughts?

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Well, Christmas has come and gone and Tiggz and I decided we would blog! YAY!
We had a very nice Christmas this year. Christmas Eve was spent up at my sister-in-laws house with her and her husband, Shay's parents, my sister and Shay and I. We had a yummy dinner and then enjoyed some games of pool and ping pong and then sang a few songs while Ken played on the Ukulele. The weather was crazy that night and we almost couldn't make it up to Kelly's house! Luckily we did and then the drive home was perfect. Mother Nature is so temperamental!
Here is Shay and his dad Ken.

Ken playing the Ukulele.

The whole family, Jared, Kelly, Me, Shay, Ken and Karen.

The next morning (CHRISTMAS DAY!) we went to Shay's parents house and had breakfast then tore into our presents. I was EXTREMELY spoiled this year and I certainly did not deserve it but I'll gladly take it. Here is my present:

A PIANO! I was crying and crying. Silly me.

Back in what, I think November or October I told everyone (as you may recall from the post) that all I wanted for Christmas was a piano. Then I retracted my statement because I decided they were too expensive and it was asking too much of everyone. Well, Shay surprised me and got everyone together and they got me my piano. It was very humbling and I feel I don't deserve it but I know they all feel otherwise. I can't wait for little surprises to show up on their laps throughout the next year. Yup, that's a threat! =)
This last picture is Shay and I at his parents in our PJ's by the tree. When it comes right down to it Christmas was wonderful this year. I got to spend it with family! As much as I would have LOVED to see my parents too I know I was in their hearts and they were in mine. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and if I get more pics I'll tack them on later. LOVE YA!

TWILIGHT
OK, here is my first book review. I just finished reading Twilight by Stephenie Meyer for the second time. As many of you know I LOVE this series. I enjoyed reading this book again because I wasn't in such a rush to turn the page and find out what happens next. I caught on to all the foreshadowing and little details I either missed or forgot, and I found myself even more attached to the characters than the first time I read it.
Here's the problem, I GET WAY TOO INVOLVED WITH THESE BOOKS! I put myself in their position and then I end up feeling the same emotions the characters are feeling. Ugh, right now I'm not sure I can start New Moon. I'm too worked up! I need to calm down.
Anyhow, for those of you who have not read Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse I highly recommend it. They are young adult and clean. They involve real life with fantasy and the intensity of that first true love. I say to some of you very logical readers to open your mind and remember it's fake and in the fake world, yes that could happen. To us readers that forget it's fake, remember it's fake, take a deep breath and relax! =)
That's it for now. I could go on and on and on and don't want to. Love you all!

Wonder if I could get in trouble for this post? Slander maybe?
This is an article I just read about the movie, The Golden Compass. I am not posting this to say negative things about this movie (although they are negative) I am posting it because as parents I feel we should know the underlying messages of the movies and books we see and read. Use your own judgment based on your own feelings and research. Love you all!
The Golden Compass - A movie to avoid
THIS IS A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM
DR. BRYAN CUTSHALL
Yesterday, I was handed a children's book by a staff member who
said, "I think you need to see this."
The book is published by Scholastic and is part of a collection of
books. The book I was given is called The Golden Compass. This
children's book is one of the most alarming things I have ever
read.
What makes it worse is that a movie based on the book premieres
in December. Both the book and the movie introduce atheism to
children. The story ends with Adam and Eve killing God.
THIS IS A MOVIE THAT WE MUST PROTEST AND OPPOSE AS CHRISTIANS.
Please educate yourself on this by checking out the links I have
provided below and help me spread the word. Do not remain silent on this issue.

I checked this out at snopes.com; unfortunately, it's true...
There will be a new children's movie out in December called "The Golden
Compass." The movie has been described as "atheism for kids" and is based
on the first book of a trilogy entitled "His Dark Materials" written by Phillip Pullman.
Pullman is a militant atheist and secular humanist who despises C.S.Lewis and the
"Chronicles of Narnia."
His motivation for writing this trilogy was specifically to counteract
Lewis' symbolism's of Christ portrayed in the Narnia series.
Clearly, Pullman's main objective is to bash Christianity and promote atheism.
Pullman left little doubt about his intentions when he said in a 2003 interview,
"my books are about killing God." He has even stated that he wants "to kill God in the minds
children." It has been said of Pullman that he is "the writer the atheists would be praying
for, if atheists prayed."
While "The Golden Compass" movie itself may seem mild and innocent, the
books are a much different story. In the trilogy, a young streetwise girl becomes enmeshed
in an epic struggle to ultimately defeat the oppressive forces of a senile God. Another character,
an ex-nun, describes Christianity as "a very powerful and convincing mistake."
In the final book, characters representing Adam and Eve eventually kill God, who at times is
called YAHWEH. Each book in the trilogy gets progressively worse regarding Pullman's hatred of
Jesus Christ.
"The Golden Compass" is set to premier December 7, during the Christmas
season and will probably be heavily advertised. Promoters hope that unsuspecting
parents will take their children to see the movie, that they will enjoy the movie, and that
the children will want the books for Christmas.
Please boycott the movie and the books. Also, pass this information along to everyone you know.
This will help to educate parents, so that they will know the agenda of the movie.
