Can you say random?

Okay... Here's the deal. I haven't posted anything on my blog in a long time. I just haven't cared. I have no news, we haven't gone anywhere, and I don't like holidays! However, I had my friend Kylee tell me to update my blog.

Kahuku (Shay's 3 foot tall Tiki God he bought in Hawaii) is staring at me and it's all I can think about right now. Besides the yummy smell coming from my oven... Hopefully those brownies will be done soon so I can gorge myself on them before I go to dreamland.

Speaking of dreamland, I hate the dream I had last night. Do you ever have a dream that wasn't good and you keep thinking about it? Ugh, we are not talking about that anymore.

Today I bought a dehydrator and I'm trying it out. I'm drying, apples, mangoes, kiwis, and bananas. The kiwis can take up to 18 hours to dry!!! Hopefully it works out, I'm nervous that some of them might over dry because I need to sleep tonight and I'm supposed to check them a few times near the end of their time to make sure they don't get too dry. Oh well if so! :)

Shay and I have our 4 year anniversary coming up in March. March 11. 3-11. 311... His favorite band. :)

My guinea pig is good. He loves me way more than Shay! Tiggz whines at Shay when he touches him and then he bites Shay. But he cuddles and makes purring noises when I pet him. Shay says I coddle him too much. He's just jealous.

Can you believe it's almost February? I am SO glad. I love the spring and summer. It's the best time of the year! :) March is a total teaser month but I look forward to it because there are a few really nice days in between the yucky ones. Oh, and the awful inversion is usually gone by then. Gotta love having the most polluted air in the nation! :)

My Birthday

My birthday was in October and I've been slacking on downloading the pictures and putting them on my various websites. My sister in law even emailed me these pictures. All I had to do was save them! Lazy me. :) Shay is allergic to his sisters Shih Tzu, Griffin. So in most of these pictures he looks awful, (he felt awful) and has some tissues in his nose cuz it's what he does. :)

ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME! These are so stupid and ugly. WHO WOULD WEAR THEM!?

This is Imogen Heap. She is my favorite artist and I never ever get sick of her music. I could listen to it all the time. If you haven't heard of her I strongly suggest you listen to some of her music. You may not like it, that's fine, but I LOVE it.

I need your help. Sigh... I'm not right. I'm crabby, angry, resentful, impatient, frustrated, anxious, and sad. To sum it up I've been feeling pretty stressed lately. This is normal but it's not normal for me to lay in bed until 3 am thinking of how awful it is to have people needing me and my help. I usually love helping people out! When I started being angry at my dear husband for needing love from me I realized something is not right. Well, to be honest, I think it's my own fault. Stress is normal, life is crazy and we are all bound to feel overwhelmed. However, usually there is something better in my life to help lift me above the stresses and I've left it behind in the dirt. The Gospel. I have not been wanting to go to church for the past couple months. Absolutely NO desire. I was already forcing myself to go for a few months before that and I just got tired of going, so I stopped. For a few weeks it was OK. It felt good to sleep in and wake up with Shay in bed with me. I justified, "It's the only day of the week we have together. The other days we are working." Well, now a little down the road I'm depressed and unable to handle things with a positive attitude. SO! It stops today. Church going resumes again on Sunday and a better attitude begins now. I really want to be a happy Daughter of God. With that comes a happy wife, sister, daughter of earthly parents, friend, hairstylist, and hopefully someday mother. I want to be someone that people look up to for my ability to rise above and be proud of who I am. So... My plea for your help comes in at this point. Please help me. Please pray for me to have the strength and motivation to get out of bed and GO to church. Pray that I may be proud of myself and be the kind, loving, patient person I want to be. I know Heavenly Father loves me, I know he supports me and I know he knows me. I know I can overcome my human nature and I know I am beautiful in many people's eyes. Thank you for all loving me and for your support. I'll pray for you in return. I love you many times over!!!! Heart, Dest

Our Trip to MONTANA!

We went up to visit my family in Montana last week. We hadn't visited in over 3 years and it was time to go up. Now I wish I hadn't cuz I'm missing my family SO bad. :( Luckily they are only 8 hours away and not more... These pics are of us on our way up and one of me and my mom right after we got there. I apologize in advance for not captioning all the pictures. Instead I just did a blog for each activity. It's too hard for me and I get too frustrated when I try to organize all the photos.

The first video is of these dogs that come over to my parents house everyday. They don't know who they belong to but I thought it was hilarious how the yellow dog jumps over the fence.

The second video is a big mess we made trying to put Tiggz in the car to come back to Utah. Sorry about my loud laughter.

The third video is really shaky. I was on the back of a 4-wheeler and I saw this huge beetle on Shays back and took some of the scenery.
